(1990]], p.235), which see.&nbsp; <B>Combination not validly published</B>: basionym not fully referenced.&nbsp; <B>NOW</B> <I>[[Polygonium polygonale Appendix A|Polygonium polygonale]]</I> (Appendix A).&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Ovum hispidum subsp. polygonale Appendix A|Ovum hispidum]]</I> subsp. <I>[[Ovum hispidum subsp. polygonale Appendix A|polygonale]]</I> (name not validly published, Appendix A), subsequently <I>[[Hystrichosphaeridium polygonale]]</I>, thirdly <I>[[Baltisphaeridium polygonale Appendix A|Baltisphaeridium polygonale]]</I> (Appendix A), fourthly <I>Veryhachium polygonale</I> (combination not validly published), fifthly <I>[[Goniosphaeridium polygonale Appendix A|Goniosphaeridium polygonale]]</I> (Appendix A), sixthly (and now) <I>[[Polygonium polygonale Appendix A|Polygonium polygonale]]</I> (Appendix A).&nbsp; Taxonomic junior synonyms: <I>[[Impletosphaeridium primordiale|Impletosphaeridium]]</I>? <I>[[Impletosphaeridium primordiale|primordiale]]</I>, according to [[Eisenack et al., 1973|Eisenack et al. (1973]], p.497-498); <I>Veryhachium</I> (subsequently <I>Goniosphaeridium</I>) <I>splendens</I> [[Paris and Deunff, 1970]], an acritarch species, according to [[Turner, 1984|Turner (1984]], p.113-114) who believed <I>Goniosphaeridium splendens</I> to be the senior name; <I>[[Hystrichosphaeridium sexradiatum|Hystrichosphaeridium]]</I> (subsequently <I>[[Baltisphaeridium sexradiatum Appendix A|Baltisphaeridium]]</I>) <I>[[Hystrichosphaeridium sexradiatum|sexradiatum]]</I>, according to [[Eisenack, 1965c|Eisenack (1965c]], p.261).&nbsp; This combination was also not validly published in [[Deflandre and Deflandre-Rigaud, 1964|Deflandre and Deflandre-Rigaud (1964]], fiche 2061), since these authors did not fully reference the basionym.&nbsp; Age: Silurian (erratic).
