Taxonomic senior synonym: Cleistosphaeridium (as and now Reticulatosphaera) actinocoronatum, according to Bujak and Matsuoka (1986, p.238). The nomenclatural type of the genus Reticulatosphaera remains the holotype of Reticulatosphaera stellata. Age: Pliocene or younger.
