Sarkar (2012, p.174) included the type of Thalassiphora simlaensis, the substitute name for Subathua spinosa, in synonymy with Muratodinium subathuensis, and thus Muratodinium subathuensis must be considered an illegitimate nomenclatural junior synonym. Age: Lutetian.
