*trochoidea (Stein, 1883, pl.3, figs27-29) Loeblich III, 1976, p.25. Holotype: Stein, 1883, pl.3, figs27-29. Originally Glenodinium (modern dinoflagellate; not indexed), subsequently Peridinium (not indexed herein), thirdly (and now) Scrippsiella. Taxonomic junior synonyms: Peridinium faeroense (not indexed herein), Rhabdosphaera erinacea and Scrippsiella sweeneyae (not indexed herein), all according to Janofske (2000, p.180).
