Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Hystrichosphaeridium?, thirdly (and now) Achomosphaera. Jain (1982, p.52) considered the specimen illustrated by Sah et al. (1970, pl.2, fig.19) to be Cordosphaeridium inodes. Age: Late Cretaceous.
