Originally (and now) Kalyptea, subsequently Komewuia, thirdly Pareodinia. Lentin and Williams (1993, p.366) retained this species in Kalyptea. Taxonomic junior synonym: Kalyptea jurassica, according to Below (1990, p.65). Gocht (1970b, p.154) considered Pareodinia ceratophora to be the questionable taxonomic senior synonym of this species. Age: Tithonian.
