Taxonomic senior synonym: Hystrichosphaera (as Xenascus) ceratioides, according to Davey and Verdier (1971, p.27) — however, Stover and Helby (1987a, p.128) retained Odontochitina (as Xenascus) blastema. N.I.A. Age: Cenomanian.
