(2009, p.399) included this species in Palaeoperidinium without question. Taxonomic junior synonyms: Palaeoperidinium? asperum and Palaeoperidinium? leptodermatum, both according to He Chengquan et al. (2009, p.399–400). Age: ?middle-late Eocene.
