Family Apodiniaceae

Diagnosis:Blastodinialeans in which the parasitic cell is attached by a stalk and retains no evidence of typical dinoflagellate shape. Sporogenesis is by palisporogenesis, feeding continuing while sporogenesis occurs; however, the latter process does not lead to a ribbon-like multicellular stage.
