Holotype: Burger, 1980b, fig.5D; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.15, figs.3–5. NOW Trichodinium. Originally Cleistosphaeridium, subsequently Circulodinium, thirdly (and now) Trichodinium. Age: Neocomian.
