Taxonomic senior synonym: Gardodinium trabeculosum, by implication in Brideaux and McIntyre (1975, p.33), who considered Gardodinium elongatum to be a taxonomic junior synonym of Gardodinium eisenackii, which is now a taxonomic junior synonym of Gardodinium trabeculosum. Age: Mid Albian.
