Dinoflagellates in which at least one stage in the life-cycle has a dinokaryon. That is: a nucleus in which the chromosomes are generally fibrillar in appearance (i.e. with unmasked DNA fibrils) and are more or less continuously condensed. Histones are absent. | ||
