Neutral torsion

A term used to denote the situation in which there is neither dextral torsion nor sinistral torsion. In this neutral situation, the boundary between the fourth and fifth postcingular homologues (IV/V) is more or less in line with the boundary between the third and fourth precingular homologues (4/5).
