NOW Achomosphaera. Originally Areoligera, subsequently Baltisphaeridium (Appendix A), thirdly Hystrichosphaeridium, fourthly Cleistosphaeridium?, fifthly (and now) Achomosphaera. Taxonomic senior synonym: Areoligera senonensis, according to Lejeune-Carpentier and Sarjeant (1981, p.15) — however, Sarjeant (1984c, p.130) retained Areoligera (as Achomosphaera) danica. Age: Paleocene.
