Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1962b, pl.2, fig.1; Fensome et al., 1993a, fig.1 — p.893; Fauconnier and Masure, 2004, pl.80, fig.6. NOW Dinopterygium. Originally Hystrichodinium, subsequently Xiphophoridium, thirdly Pyramidium (generic name illegitimate), fourthly Oodnadattia, fifthly (and now) Dinopterygium. Age: Albian–Cenomanian.
