Holotype: Deflandre, 1937b, pl.15 (al. pl.12), fig.3; Eisenack and Kjellström, 1972, p.415; Fensome et al., 1995, fig.1 — p.1705. NOW Pervosphaeridium. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Baltisphaeridium, thirdly Exochosphaeridium?, fourthly (and now) Pervosphaeridium. Taxonomic junior synonym: Hystrichosphaeridium (as Exochosphaeridium?) palmatum, according to Yun Hyesu (1981, p.29). This combination was not validly published in Downie and Sarjeant (1963, p.92), since these authors did not fully reference the basionym. Age: Late Cretaceous.
