Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.5, fig.9; Fensome et al., 1993a, fig.1 — p.911. Originally Hystrichodinium, subsequently Hystrichodinium?, thirdly (and now) Omatidium. Age: Late Jurassic or Neocomian.
