Originally Cleistosphaeridium polypes var. clavulum, subsequently Cleistosphaeridium polypes subsp. clavulum, thirdly Impletosphaeridium polypes subsp. clavulum, fourthly Bacchidinium polypes subsp. clavulum, fifthly Cleistosphaeridium clavulum, sixthly Impletosphaeridium clavulum, seventhly (and now) Impletosphaeridium? clavulum. Age: Cenomanian.
