Lentin and Williams (1981, p.90) retained this species in Disphaeria. Taxonomic senior synonym: Erikania (now Thalassiphora) dynamica, according to Yun Hyesu (1981, p.70) — however, Lentin and Williams (1985, p.353) retained Thalassiphora munda. Age: late Albian–Cenomanian.
