The tabulation system proposed by Eaton (1980) and resulting from the labelling of the latitudinal series (i.e. Eaton series) of plates from the cingulum towards the poles. The episome and hyposome may both have three series: on the episome these are, from the cingulum, the precingular series, apical series, and apical closing series; on the hyposome these are, from the cingulum, the postcingular series, antapical series and antapical closing series.
