Originally Endoscrinium, subsequently (and now) Scriniodinium. Duxbury (1977) gave as derivation for the epithet the Greek "pharos" ("lighthouse"); however, he gave the epithet as "pharo". N.I.A. Age: late Berriasian–early Valanginian.
