"<I><B>nagyae</B></I>" [[Head, 1992]], p.250,252.&nbsp; Holotype: [[Nagy, 1969]], pl.2, figs.3-4,6.&nbsp; <B>Name illegitimate - nomenclatural senior synonym</B>: <I>[[Deflandridium stellatum Appendix A|Deflandridium]]</I> (now <I>[[Planctonites stellatus Appendix A|Planctonites]]</I>) <I>[[Deflandridium stellatum Appendix A|stellatum]]</I>, which has the same type.&nbsp; <B>NOW</B> <I>[[Planctonites stellatus Appendix A|Planctonites stellatus]]</I>.&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Deflandridium stellatum Appendix A|Deflandridium stellatum]]</I>, subsequently <I>Planktonites nagyae</I> (name illegitimate), thirdly (and now) <I>[[Planctonites stellatus Appendix A|Planctonites stellatus]]</I>.&nbsp; Substitute name for <I>[[Deflandridium stellatum Appendix A|Deflandridium stellatum]]</I> [[Nagy, 1969]], p.294, pl.2, figs.1,3-4,6.&nbsp; [[Head, 1992|Head (1992]], p.250) considered that transfer of <I>[[Deflandridium stellatum Appendix A|Deflandridium stellatum]]</I> to <I>Planctonites</I> would create an illegitimate junior homonym of <I>Planktonites stellarius</I> ([[Potoni&#233;, 1934]]) [[Krutzsch and Vanhoorne, 1977]]; however, the two epithets are not identical.&nbsp; Age: Late Miocene.
