Taxonomic senior synonym (at specific rank): Prinsiosphaera (now Orthopithonella) geometrica, according to Janofske (1987, p.50). Janofske (1987, p.50) considered some specimens of this taxon illustrated by Jafar (1983 — figs.9, nos.3a–c,4a–b,8a–b,9a–b), including the type, to belong to Orthopithonella geometrica. Age: Rhaetian.
