(2014]], figs.4-5).&nbsp; Originally <I>[[Rhabdosphaera erinacea Appendix A|Rhabdosphaera]]</I> (Appendix A), subsequently <I>[[Rhabdothorax erinaceus Appendix B|Rhabdothorax]]</I> (combination not validly published), thirdly (and now) <I>Scrippsiella</I>. Taxonomic senior synonym: <I>Glenodinium</I> (now <I>[[Scrippsiella trochoidea Appendix B|Scrippsiella]]</I>) <I>trochoideum</I> (Appendix B, under <I>Scrippsiella</I>), according to [[Janofske, 2000|Janofske (2000]], p.180) - however, [[Kretschmann et al., 2014|Kretschmann et al. (2014]], p.403) retained this species, as <I>Scrippsiella</I>.&nbsp; Age: extant.
