Sporogenesis

The mode of asexual reproduction, common in parasites, which involves the production of multiple spores or swarmers ( dinospores, gymnospores, infective cells). There are two types of sporogenesis: palisporogenesis, in which feeding and sporogenesis occur simultaneously; and palintomy, in which sporogenesis occurs following, and not simultaneously to, feeding.
