Subclass Peridiniphycidae

Dinophyceans with a tabulation which accords with, or derives from, a pattern in which there are five or six latitudinal plate series. A sagittal suture is lacking.

Plate 1\' symmetrical; one fundital plate ( antapical plate) is clearly in a more dorsal position than other(s). UNCERTAINS Plate 1\' symmetrical; two fundital plates ( antapical plates) symmetrical, neither being clearly dorsal of the other.
