"pycnothecata" Keupp, 1978, p.94, figs.11-12. Holotype: Keupp, 1978, fig.11. NOW Orthopithonella. Originally Pithonella, subsequently (and now) Orthopithonella. Taxonomic senior synonym: Pithonella (as and now Orthopithonella) gustafsonii, according to Willems (1988, p.437) - however, Kohring (1993a, p.35) retained Pithonella (as and now Orthopithonella) pycnothecata. Age: Tithonian.
