Orthopithonella pycnothecata

pycnothecata (Keupp, 1978, p.94, figs.11-12) Lentin and Williams, 1985, p.384.  Holotype: Keupp, 1978, fig.11.  Originally Pithonella, subsequently (and now) Orthopithonella.  Taxonomic senior synonym: Pithonella (as and now Orthopithonella) gustafsonii, according to Willems (1988, p.437) - however, Kohring (1993a, p.35) retained Orthopithonella pycnothecata.  Age: Tithonian.
