Holotype: Klumpp, 1953, pl.18, figs.8-9. NOW Cordosphaeridium latum. Originally Hystrichosphaeridium diktyoplokum subsp. latum, subsequently Cordosphaeridium diktyoplokum subsp. latum, thirdly Areosphaeridium diktyoplokum subsp. latum, fourthly Plethysyrinx? lata, fifthly (and now) Cordosphaeridium latum.
