Holotype: Riegel, 1974, pl.1, fig.7; Sarjeant et al., 1987, pl.2, fig.2. Combination illegitimate: the generic name Ceratiopsis is illegitimate. NOW Cerodinium. Originally Deflandrea, subsequently Ceratiopsis (combination illegitimate), thirdly Senegalinium, fourthly Phelodinium, fifthly (and now) Cerodinium. Age: ?Senonian.
