Originally Hystrichosphaeridium, subsequently Cleistosphaeridium?, thirdly Impletosphaeridium?, fourthly (and now) Operculodinium. Questionable assignment: Lentin and Williams (1981, p.47). Age: Eocene–Oligocene.
