Holotype: Gocht, 1969, pl.2, fig.1; Sarjeant, 1981, pl.2, figs.1–2. Originally Cordosphaeridium inodes subsp. robustum, subsequently (and now) Cordosphaeridium robustum. Islam (1983a, p.235) also proposed this combination. Age: Eocene.
