Endoscrinium irregulare
irregulare (Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, p.28–29, pl.10, figs.1–2) Riding and Fensome, 2003, p.22. Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1958, pl.10, fig.1; Jan du Chêne et al., 1986a, pl.109, figs.1–2. Originally Wetzeliella, subsequently Wetzeliopsis (name not validly published), thirdly Scriniodinium?, fourthly Tubotuberella, fifthly (and now) Endoscrinium. Taxonomic junior synonym: Wetzeliella meckelfeldensis, according to Costa and Downie (1979, p.43) — however, Lentin and Williams (1981, p.290) retained Wetzeliella meckelfeldensis. Riding and Fensome (2003, p.22) cited the basionym as Scriniodinium irregulare rather than Wetzeliella irregularis, but otherwise fully referenced the basionym; hence, their validation of the combination is accepted here. Age: Late Jurassic.
Parent: Endoscrinium
