Originally (and now) Muderongia, subsequently Pseudomuderongia. Helby (1987, p.305) and Stover and Williams (1987, p.181) retained this species in Muderongia. Taxonomic junior synonyms: Phoberocysta lowryi, Phoberocysta burgeri, and Phoberocysta edgellii, all according to Monteil (1991b, p.476). Age: ?Hauterivian.
