Originally Thoracosphaera, subsequently Sphaerodinella (combination not validly published), thirdly Sphaerodinella?, fourthly (and now) Pernambugia. Taxonomic junior synonyms: Thoracosphaera candora and Thoracosphaera narena, both according to Fütterer (1976, p.132). Age: Pleistocene.
