scabrosus (Clarke and Verdier, 1967, p.49-50, pl.9, figs.7-10; text-fig.21) Lentin and Williams, 1975, p.2155.  Holotype: Clarke and Verdier, 1967, pl.9, fig.10.  Originally Hystrichosphaera, subsequently (and now) SpiniferitesHarker and Sarjeant (1975, p.225) also proposed this combination.  Age: Cenomanian-Santonian.
