Originally Pithonella, subsequently Obliquipithonella, thirdly (and now) Pirumella. Taxonomic junior synonym: Pithonella titanoplax, according to Keupp (1981, p.64) — however, Kohring (1993a, p.74) retained Pithonella (as Obliquipithonella, now Pirumella) titanoplax. Age: Albian.
