Originally (and now) Pirumella, subsequently Pithonella, thirdly Obliquipithonella. Taxonomic junior synonym (at specific rank): Pithonella (subsequently Pirumella) patriciagreeleyae subsp. ovata, according to Keupp (1982, p.334). Age: late Hauterivian.
