Holotype: Riegel, 1974, pl.1, fig.7; Sarjeant et al., 1987, pl.2, fig.2. NOW Cerodinium. Originally Deflandrea, subsequently Ceratiopsis (combination illegitimate), thirdly Senegalinium, fourthly Phelodinium, fifthly (and now) Cerodinium. Stover and Evitt (1978, p.123) also proposed this combination. Age: ?Senonian.
