Danea mutabilis

"*mutabilis" Morgenroth, 1968, p.542-544, pl.43, figs.5-9; pl.44, figs.1-3.  Holotype: Morgenroth, 1968, pl.43, figs.5-6.  Taxonomic senior synonym: Palmnickia (as Danea, now Damassadinium) californica, according to Damassa (1979b, p.193).  The nomenclatural type of the genus Danea remains the holotype of Danea mutabilis.  Following I.C.B.N. Article 55.1, the species name Danea mutabilis is validly published even though the generic name Danea is illegitimate.  Age: Danian.
