Citation: Crypthecodiniaceae Biecheler 1938 ex Chatton 1952. Diagnosis:Gonyaulacaleans in which the cingulum of the motile cell does not contact the right margin of the sulcus. This contact is prevented by a large plate to the right of the sulcus, which extends from the hyposome to the episome across the line of the cingulum. Type genus: Crypthecodinium Biecheler 1938. Extant genus: Crypthecodinium Biecheler 1938.
