Holotype: Cookson and Eisenack, 1960b, pl.37, fig.5; text-fig.2; Jan du Chêne et al., 1986a, pl.71, figs.10-12. Originally Gonyaulax (Appendix B), subsequently (and now) Leptodinium, thirdly Gonyaulacysta. Lentin and Williams (1973, p.86) retained this species in Leptodinium. Age: ?Tithonian.
