Pterodinium bab

(1986a, p.273) retained this species in Pterodinium.  Below (1981a, p.113) named this species Pterodinium bab; "bab" is the Arabic for door.  Head et al. (1989b, p.458), citing I.C.B.N. Article 73.10 (in the 1988 I.C.B.N.; Article 60.11 in the 1994 I.C.B.N.), latinized the epithet "bab" to "babatum".  However, Article 60.1 states that the spelling of a name/epithet such as "bab" must not be changed.  N.I.A.  Age: Hauterivian.
