Subfamily PalaeoperidinioideaeCitation: Palaeoperidinioideae ( Vozzhennikova, 1961) Bujak and Davies, 1983.
Diagnosis:Peridiniaceans in which the episomal tabulation is bipesioid and the Kofoid second anterior intercalary plate is hexa (i.e. six-sided). The cyst is organic-walled. The archeopyle involves anterior intercalary plates and precingular plates and sometimes also the dorsal third apical plate.
