Name illegitimate: in proposing the generic name Alterbia, Lentin and Williams (1976) included the type of the senior names Andalusiella and Senegalinium. Substitute name: Alterbidinium. Substitute name for Albertia Vozzhennikova, 1967, p.151. Type: Vozzhennikova, 1967, pl.77, fig.2, as Albertia recticornis (see discussion under Alterbidinium recticorne).
